Mary Parkwell, RN, BSN, Alliance Nursing Co-Founder

Mary graduated from North Hennipin College in Minneapolis, and completed her Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 1993 at City University. Mary has far-ranging experience working at the VA Medical Center in Phoenix, Long Island College Hospital in Brooklyn, Fairview Southdale in Minnesota, Harborview Medical Center in Seattle, and the Adventist Hospital in Hong Kong. In 1987, she met Andrea Bailey, and forged a long-standing friendship and partnership that ultimately became Alliance Nursing.

An Associate Professor at the University of Washington School of Nursing, Mary also serves on the Nurse Practice Advisory Board of the University of Washington School of Nursing. Mary is active in advocating with the legislature for the Private Duty Nursing Program in Washington State.

Mary has two children, and an avid interest in quilting, gardening, reading and road biking.


Andrea Bailey, RN, Alliance Nursing Co-Founder

After graduating from Lane Community College in Eugene, Oregon, with an Associate Degree in Nursing in 1983, Andi worked at Virginia Mason Hospital in critical care. She served on the ICU Education Committee and earned her CCRN in 1985. Andi became an independent contractor in 1987, and started her own small agency. In 1989, Andi and Mary started Acute Care, Inc., which became Alliance Nursing.

Andi has two grown sons, enjoys quilting, gardening, travel and reading, and has been a member of TEC (a business development organization) for the past five years.


Tammy Susdorf, RN Director of Clinical Services

Tammy has been a field nurse for over 20 years and has worked most of those years in home healthcare. She has worked for Alliance since its inception, serving in several capacities: as a homecare nurse where she had the opportunity of working with ventilator dependant pediatrics and adult patients, as the Supervisor of the Adult Family Home in Kirkland, as a Clinical Supervisor, and eventually was appointed to be the Director of Clinical Services where she supervises a staff of 190.


Cyndie Geddes, RN, Clinical Supervisor

Cyndie began working in home healthcare soon after graduating from Shoreline Community College in 1993 with her nursing degree. In 1994, Cyndie joined the Acute Care team and was instrumental in opening their first Adult Family Home. Since then, Cyndie has been Case Coordinator for many homecare clients, and became a Clinical Supervisor for Acute Care in February 2005. She spends her spare time volunteering as a Disaster Coordinator for the American Red Cross, camping and reading, and tending her four children, husband and goats.


Mary Jo George, RN, Clinical Supervisor

Mary Jo graduated from an RN program in Bremerton, Washington and began her career in a nursing home and on-call for a local hospital.  After becoming a full-time pediatric nurse, she teamed up with  Alliance as a supervisor for the  Bremerton and South Sound areas.  Her office and home are in Seabeck, a small town on the Hood Canal where she lives with her husband and two children, and enjoys crafts, gardening and reading in her spare time.
